WEEE user information

Information for users

Directive 2012/19/EU obliges producers and introducers of electrical and electronic equipment to explain the meaning of the crosse-out wheeled bin symbol. In so far the bar is used addtionally, the user needs to understand its meaning also. Furthermore, the users need to be made aware that electrical and electronic equipment may contain a complex mixture of materials, some of which can be hazardous. These can cause environmental and health problems if the discarded devices are not managed properly. The user shall understand that a separate collection and recycling of waste electronic equipment at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment.

Furthermore, the user is to be informed of where he can give his equipment back. When registering the return infrastructure with public registers such as the German Stiftung elektro-altgeräte-register (ear), the name and address of a third party – in so far applicable - needs to be documented also.

We enable you to re-direct take-back inquiries from your customers or clients directly to us. Such inquiries are then pre-qualified by our team and then arranged together with your organisation.
